Strengthen the voice of Bartlesville! Stand up and be counted!
It's Quick!
With one of the shortest questionnaires in history, the 2010 Census asks 10 questions regarding name, gender, age, race, ethnicity, relationship, and whether you own or rent your home. It takes only about 10 minutes for the average household to complete.
It's Confidential!
Your answers are protected by law and are strictly confidential. It is illegal for Census Bureau employees to share your personal information. No court of law, not even the President of the United States, can access your individual responses.
It's Important!
Census data is used to determine our representation in Congress and the amount of state and federal funding Bartlesville receives. The data also helps shape decisions about public health, neighborhood improvements, transportation, education, senior services and much more. Private companies use the data for market research to determine locations for stores, restaurants, and other services.
The City of Bartlesville is a Census Bureau partner! We're helping to promote the 2010 Census in our city. With a $3000 Federal grant, we purchased frisbees, pens, cups, magnets, chip clips, and first aid kits, all with our personalized slogan, 'Strengthen the Voice of Bartlesville. Stand Up and Be Counted!' We've been handing out these promotional items around town and talking to folks about the importance of the census.
